PopularSpring/Summer Soccer League CompetitiveYouth RecreationThe Tri-City United Soccer Club plays in the Southern Minnesota Soccer League for the spring/summer soccer season. The Southern Minnesota Soccer League (SMSL) serves established and growing soccer communities of Southern Minnesota. SMSL provides competitive leagues in classic levels of Black and Blue (Black the higher designation). SMSL is committed to providing quality traveling soccer experiences while fostering and growing soccer throughout the region. Competitive: Ages U9/U10 and Up. While still focusing on skill development, teams will also play against other soccer clubs throughout the season, travel is required for away games. Players arrange their own transportation. The option for one team tournament is also included in the fee. U9/U10: Birth years of 2013, 2014 U11/U12: Birth years of 2011, 2012 U13/U14: Birth years of 2009, 2010 U15/U16: Birth years of 2007, 2008 U17/U18: Birth years of 2005, 2006 The season runs mid-April through the beginning/middle of July. Uniforms are required to play. Uniform kits include two jerseys (one home and one away), shorts and socks. If you are new to this age level or you need a new uniform you will need to register for one. Players will need to provide their own cleats and shin guards. If you are using your uniform kit from last year please provide the jersey number when registering. Practice days and times will vary based on coaches availability. Location is based on field availability. SMSL plans a 10 game season (with 9 or 11 games if needed based on brackets). Game days may vary. Parent volunteer coaches are needed in order to play for all age levels, please let us know if you are willing to help coach. Registration deadline for competitive teams is February 15th. We will go over other training methods, including conditioning and tactical research/resources. Starting SoonFamily Open Gym - Le CenterYouth RecreationFor students and their parents in grades K-6. Come burn off some energy this winter in the gym. All participants must have clean, dry, non marking shoes. Students in grades K-4 must be accompanied by a parent or sibling 16 or older. Students in grades 5-6 may attend without a parent, however; a parent must come in and sign in their child before leaving.Winter/Spring 2022-2023

Introduction to soccer rules, formations, positions and tactics.
