Winter Colorguard

Winter-Spring 2024-25

Colorguard is a high-energy performing arts class that combines dance and movement, aspects of theater, and equipment manipulation to create a musical and visual performance program for audiences at basketball games and competitions.

What they do: Colorguard members perform choreographed routines using flags, mock sabers, mock rifles, and other equipment to interpret the show music. The choreography also includes elements of movement and dance.
Where they perform: Colorguard members perform at basketball game half-times and regional competitions within the Twin Cities.
What they learn: Colorguard students learn a variety of equipment skills, such as spins and tosses. They will also learn and explore fundamentals in movement and dance.

Competition Dates (all day events): Rehearsals in the morning, competitions in the afternoon/evenings.  Families/participants will need to provide their own transportation for competitions.
