Improve your driving skills, and if you're 55 or older, get a discount on your personal auto insurance. The Defensive Driving Course, developed by the National Safety Council, teaches basic crash prevention techniques and has a proven record of reducing traffic violations and incidents. The class consists of lectures, films and discussions. There is no behind-the-wheel driving and there are no tests.. After you complete the course, you will receive a certificate of completion to give to your insurance company.
This is the initial 8 hour course if you have never taken one before. This class is required before any refresher courses. This class will require you to log in from your home computer via Zoom, a link will be sent to you prior to class. You will also need to pick up your training materials from the TCU Community Ed office a couple days prior to the start of class.
